What is the ColonoscopyAssist Program About?

Cancer Screening Stool Test
 

Fecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT)


The ColonoscopyAssist program offers a low cost colon cancer screening called an Immunochemical FOBT test (a non-invasive stool test that can be completed at home).

The test detects hidden blood in the stool that could be from a cancer or a large polyp. The test is recommended as a screening by every major medical organization and should be completed annually by all persons over the age of 50.

The program uses a high sensitivity immunochemical FOBT test called InsureFIT. The test is accurate, non invasive and only takes 5 minutes of the patients time. The process is simple:

STEP 1
A stool specimen collection kit is mailed to the patient with instructions.

STEP 2
The collected specimen is then returned to the ColonoscopyAssist lab using a pre-stamped envelope.

STEP 3
The specimen is tested in our lab and results are reported within 48 hours.
