What is the ColonoscopyAssist Program About?

  • The ColonoscopyAssist program promotes colon cancer screening among the uninsured community
  • The following tests are provided at heavily discounted rates:
    1. Colonoscopy
    2. Upper Endoscopy
    3. Cologuard
    4. FIT
  • Financial assistance is provided to patients unable to afford the tests.
  • The program focuses on removing financial barriers to CRC screening.

Providing safe patient care is our highest priority and while the cost of a procedure through the program is low, the quality of care will never be compromised.

The program has taken a number of steps to ensure the highest quality of healthcare. The results are evident in the patient satisfaction reviews we receive.

Minimum Requirements

Any healthcare provider that provides services to our patients must meet our strict credentialing criteria. The criteria is designed to ensure a standard of care significantly higher than the national average.

Our minimum requirements are:

Physicians

1) Physicians must be board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, General Surgery or Colon & Rectal Surgery.
2) Physicians in training or residents are not eligible.
3) Physicians must regularly perform colonoscopy procedures as part of their practice.
4) Physicians must hold an active license to practice in their state and be in good standing

Facilities

1) Facilities must be accredited by either JCAHO, AAAHC, AAASF or CMS. These accreditations are considered the gold standard for patient care.
2) Facilities must regularly have colonoscopy procedures performed each month.
3) Facilities must be state certified and in good standing.
4) Facilities must keep documentation for the sterilization of each scope.
