What is the ColonoscopyAssist Program About?

  • The ColonoscopyAssist program provides colonoscopy screenings and colon cancer support for the underinsured community.
  • Colonoscopy screenings are provided at an all-inclusive discounted rate of $1075 nationwide.
  • Screenings are provided completely free of charge in certain regions where funding is available.
  • Specialized support and help is provided for patients diagnosed with colon cancer.

Providing safe patient care is our highest priority and while the cost of a procedure through the program is low, the quality of care will never be compromised.

The program has taken a number of steps to ensure the highest quality of healthcare. The results are evident in the patient satisfaction reviews we receive.

Minimum Requirements

Any healthcare provider that provides services to our patients must meet our strict credentialing criteria. The criteria is designed to ensure a standard of care significantly higher than the national average.

Our minimum requirements are:

Physicians

1) Physicians must be board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, General Surgery or Colon & Rectal Surgery.
2) Physicians in training or residents are not eligible.
3) Physicians must regularly perform a minimum of 25 colonoscopy procedures a month.
4) Physicians must have at least 7 years of experience practicing as a physician
5) Physicians must hold an active license to practice in their state and be in good standing

Facilities

1) Facilities must be accredited by either JCAHO, AAAHC, AAASF or CMS. These accreditations are considered the gold standard for patient care.
2) Facilities must regularly perform more than 25 colonoscopy procedures per month.
3) Facilities must be state certified and in good standing.
4) Facilities and physicians must be in good standing with the state.
5) If determined necessary, facilities must pass an in-person inspection.
6) Facilities must keep documentation for the sterilization of each scope.
